Western Seminary - Sacramento

History

Founded in 1927 as Western Baptist Theological Seminary, the institution has evolved to serve a diverse student body across multiple campuses, including Sacramento. The Sacramento campus was established in 1991 to extend theological education to ministry leaders in the area. In 2014, the campus relocated to Rocklin, California, to better serve its students.

Tuition and Fees

For the 2024–2025 academic year, tuition rates are as follows:

• Master's Level Tuition: $674 per credit hour
• Master of Counseling (Portland Campus): $707 per credit hour
• Doctoral Level Tuition: $707–$751 per credit hour, depending on the program

An Education Resource Fee of $220 per term is required for all students enrolled in at least one credit course each term. Western Seminary strives to keep quality theological training affordable and offers financial aid options such as scholarships and loans.
